ONLY GOD IS OUR SAVIOUR

Isaiah 43:3-4,7 (GNT) For I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you. 4 I will give up whole nations to save your life, because you are precious to me and because I love you and give you honor. They are my own people, and I created them to bring me glory.” First, I want to ask, God and man who is greater? The realization that man is a creature from God makes man pencil in the hand of the Creator. God is superior to man in all ramifications. Today many people have turned against God by worshipping His creatures. Note that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He stated literately that He will not and can never share His glory with any man, which makes Him supreme to all. Why then do you attribute His Glory, Honour, Worship and Exaltations to another man which came as His servant?

A servant has specific functions to perform for the master, in which after the delivery of his duties, he is put off. Have you ever seen a servant taking the place of the master or a prince, the place of king while he is still on the throne? God has not changed and will never change for eternity. No man helped God to create the world, therefore no man can help Him neither manage His activities nor share in the reward (honour due to Him). Giving glory to God is paramount, as He instructs that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom for man – meaning we will be doomed without bearing this in mind all the days of our lives. Putting creatures in place of God is termed the doctrine of men and idolatry in the sight of God.

When we follow the commandments of men instead of God’s instructions, our reverence becomes vain. If our adulation is vain, it is empty, hollow, and useless. It will do us no good. If it is vain, it would be as though we had not worshipped God at all and we will be lost. When we worship in the way “we want” then God is dishonored and insulted. When we worship the way God has told us in His word, God is honored and glorified. It is an interesting fact that we can show irreverence and disrespect to God in the way we worship! God said in Malachi 1:6-8 (KJV) A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the Lord is contemptible. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the Lord of hosts.

Imagine this song that people sing in the churches, what they mean is not what the song is. Absolute insult and defiance to our creator.

See the song below;

“Jesus na You be Oga

Jesus na You be Oga

All other gods na so so yeye

Every other god na so so yeye”

Interpreted as:

Jesus you are the Master/Lord

Jesus you are the Master/Lord

All other gods are not even real

Every other so called god is not real

This contradicts with the truth in songs like;

“You are the Lord that is Your Name

You Will Never Share Your Glory with Any Man

You Will Never Share Your Glory with Anybody

Almighty God That is Your Name”

Isaiah 42:8 (KJV)  I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Now the question is, who does the honour go to when they have declared that all other gods are not real? Who is the real God then? Did your Creator say you should worship His creature in any form? This is Gross misconduct by the writer of the first song. Where is the reference compared to the second song? Giving the glory of the King to His subject is tantamount to eternal damnation which many in this category suffer today and still do not realize their mistake but rather stay all night with printed prayer points from internet-assisted Pastors, trying to bind and cast their enemies. If peradventure you were in the position of the king and your royalty is ascribed to your subject, a mortal man who served you years back and is now dead, when you are still living and active, what will you do to the person or group of persons involved in this blasphemy, when you are still on the throne? Ponder on this question as you kneel down and pray to God for forgiveness, He will grant you mercy as you do so. Be wise!

Isaiah 65:15-16 (GNT)  My chosen people will use your name as a curse. I, the Sovereign Lord, will put you to death. But I will give a new name to those who obey me. 16 Anyone in the land who asks for a blessing will ask to be blessed by the faithful God. Whoever takes an oath will swear by the name of the faithful God. The troubles of the past will be gone and forgotten.”  Once you do not believe that God is not your Saviour, makes us dead already, but when we believe and trust in Him as our only Saviour, obeying His commands makes us children of God with new names, crown and glory. I pray for the Almighty God to give you a new name this day, as you trust and obey His Word, in the Name of the God of Israel. Amen
